Question 2

How much does a Taglit Birthright trip to Israel cost?

Accepted Answer

A Taglit Birthright Israel trip is a Free 10-day gift. This includes round-trip airfare, accommodations, group transportation, most meals, and all organized tours. While a private tour of this caliber could cost over $5000, our mission is to provide this experience at no cost to young Jewish adults. Note: A $350 USD, refundable deposit is required during the application process to secure your spot.

Question 3

What are Trip Organizers?

Accepted Answer

Trip Organizers are tour companies that have been accredited by Taglit Birthright Israel to run trips.
Each Trip Organizer has its own unique set of trips so you can travel with like-minded peers who share your interests. Head to the marketplace to discover the diverse set of programs and find the trip that best aligns with your lifestyle. The name of the Trip Organizer is located on the trip tile in the marketplace.
Once you choose a trip and begin the application process, a Trip Organizer may reach out to answer any questions you might have. After you pay your deposit, the Trip Organizer will set up a 1-on-1 chat to give an overview of the trip and learn more about you.
If you have any further questions after submitting your application, it’s best to reach out to your Trip Organizer directly as they will be able to give you the answers regarding your specific trip.

Question 4

What safety and security measures does Taglit Birthright Israel have in place?

Accepted Answer

The safety and well-being of our Taglit Birthright Israel participants is our primary operating principle and our foremost concern. Taglit Birthright Israel takes great pride in its reputation for being cautious and responsible with a well-deserved reputation from hosting over 950,000 travelers over the past 24 years. We will not hesitate to further adjust our approach, as necessary.

Taglit Birthright Israel trips operate under strict safety and security standards set in accordance with the IDF’s Homefront Command guidelines.

These guidelines include geographical travel boundaries, exact protocols of how to operate during the sound of a siren, personal safety guidelines and more. Taglit Birthright Israel’s operations department and field teams are in constant contact with trip staff and oversee the group’s operations and safety.

Trip itineraries are approved daily with the “Situation Monitoring Room” administered by the Society for the Protection of Nature. The Situation Monitoring Room works closely with Israel’s security forces including the IDF, Israel Police, and local security and reservation authorities.

Question 5

Do these trips have any impact on the participants?

Accepted Answer

85% of our alumni called their Birthright Israel trip a “life-changing experience”- an approval rate every brand would envy. They have so many incredible things to say about how our trips impacted them in a variety of ways.

In addition, independent research conducted by Brandeis University confirms this.
